Models' faces are often obscured by fabric or long hair to direct attention to the clothes and design.//////////////// Martin Margiela (Genk, April 9, 1957) is a Belgian fashion designer. In 1979 Margiela graduated from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts; a year earlier than the Antwerp Six, with which he is often associated. In 2007, an exhibition about Antwerp fashion was therefore entitled 6+, with the plus sign indicating, among other things, Margiela's link with the group. In 1984 Margiela leaves for Paris to work as an assistant designer for Jean-Paul Gaultier. In 1987 he stops as an assistant designer at Gaultier.
